John is a relationship-centric leader focused on implementing VW’s growth strategies. He is directly responsible for originating investment opportunities, cultivating investor relationships, raising capital and executing operating plans.

With a foundation in banking and wealth planning, John’s focus is devising and implementing growth strategies that are thoughtful, impactful and solve problems. Prior to VW’s launch, John lead corporate development activities which culminated in two major strategic initiatives.  The first was joint development agreement aimed at improving Florida’s supply chain infrastructure.  Secondly, John started a specialty finance company that funds energy efficiency and hurricane hardening improvements for residential and commercial property in Florida.  His leadership laid the groundwork with local governments in Florida to fund these projects through the statewide validation of a $700 million bond issuance.

John graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree in English from the College of Charleston in 1994 and an International MBA from Thunderbird School of Global Management in 1998.
