For the past 35 years, Dean has consistently created value across various real estate asset classes and through multiple market cycles for his clients and investment partners. Dean is responsible for leading VW’s investment activities related to acquisitions by leveraging his expertise in investment analysis, valuation and forecasting.

His companies have acquired and managed real estate assets since 1997 and have exceeded market returns over this time.  Dean’s outstanding investment returns are a result of careful entry pricing and the execution of value add strategies. He also founded Varner Commercial Property Consultants which provides site acquisition, development and management services for telecom towers and has dramatically increased the value of his client’s tower assets through aggressive leasing efforts. Prior to this, Dean led leasing activity for a distressed 575,000 square foot office and retail portfolio where he significantly increased occupancy and stabilized the assets resulting in a 50% increase in property values.

Dean graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Commerce from the McIntire School of Commerce at the University of Virginia in 1989.
